Our history

In 2003, parents from Malchin and the surrounding area founded an association with the aim: “We want our children to have a good school! A place for learning that wants to be the center of life for students, teachers and parents. ”: An evangelical primary school with a reform pedagogical profile.

After 18 months of hard founding work, the Benjamin School in Remplin was opened in August 2005 as a single, state-approved, privately owned substitute school. Because of herevangelical profilethe Benjamin School received the status of the denominational school.

The school building had not been used for the intended purpose for years. Now it was being revived. With the help of the community and many hardworking parents, rooms were enlarged and renovated. One year later, in the summer of 2006, the day care center of the Benjamin School also opened its doors. This expanded the educational offer considerably. At the request of numerous parents and with the consistent implementation of the latest findings in the field of early childhood education, preschool has since become an integral part of our educational work.

The name Benjamin refers to the family history of Jacob and his 12 sons in Genesis. Benjamin was Jacob's youngest son. He was loved, protected and cared for by his family, and at the same time was given the opportunity to go his own way. Just as Benjamin was in good hands with his family, so it is also our aim to create a protective atmosphere for the children of the school and thus at the same time a high degree of development opportunities and learning opportunities.

Of theAfter-school careThe day-care center also enables all-day educational opportunities for all children of the Benjamin School. The primary level is run as a full half-day school. Since the school year 2009/2010, the school-type-independent has been expandedOrientation levelthe educational offer of our elementary school.

The orientation level is consequently operated as an all-day school. Today's constant number of pupils shows that the Benjamin School has established itself as an alternative educational institution in the school landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland.
